Join us for a week-long celebration of stories about science and technology!
“Science is the way we come to know ourselves and our universe," says Jesse Hildebrand, founder of Science Literacy Week.
Science Literacy Week started as a way to encourage libraries to find new and exciting ways to communicate science with the public. Its goals are to showcase a diverse range of scientific literature and to foster enthusiasm for the ways in which science changes our lives and shapes our future. From September 17-23, universities, libraries, and museums across the country will feature the excellence and diversity of Canadian science.
Learn more about the world around you by stopping by the R.P. Bell Library. Our book display this week includes titles from renowned scientists as well as a special section on Indigenous scientific knowledge and ways of knowing. You can also find out which books members of the science faculty at Mount A ranked among their all-time favourites here.
