Library books & paper journals are organized by subject and assigned a call number, found on the spine of the book. It usually looks like AA .B01 C02 2015. The first two letters represent the subject and the last number is the year published.
Environmental Science books are found under GE on the top floor (blue carpet). Some other call numbers of interest start with: GB (Physical geography), GC (Oceanography), GF (Human Ecology), HC (Sustainability), HD (Energy), S (Agriculture, Aquaculture, & Forestry), & TD (Environmental technology). Books on other sciences, e.g. biology, biochemistry, geology, etc. have call numbers beginning with Q and are found in the basement level stacks.
The following Reference books can be found on the main floor of the library and are for use in the library only. Please feel free to photocopy, scan, or photograph any pages you need to refer to later.
