This section of the French Language and Literature Subject Guide is comprised of a select list of guides, companions, dictionaries, encyclopedias and other reference sources. 

Location of Reference Materials

Items in the R.P. Bell Library Reference collection can be found in one of two locations:

• Main floor (REF = Reference, Main Floor)
• Basement (BRF = Reference, Basement) 

Please note:

Certain items listed on the Reference Sources pages of this guide may have been moved to the new reference location in the basement (BRF).  Revisions to the lists are in progress.

Some older editions of these reference materials may be found in the Book Stacks with the same call numbers.
