Coming Soon: Novanet -- a new way to search Mount A books, journals & beyond

image of figure with magnifying glass and text :Coming Soon: A new way to search for information @ MTA Libraries"The Libraries & Archives will soon be launching a new library catalogue, a new Journal Finder, and a new “single search” discovery tool that will make it possible to search the library catalogue and across most library databases at the same time.

We are testing the new system this summer, and plan to have it up and running by August.

In addition to moving to a new catalogue, the Mount Allison Libraries & Archives will be joining the Novanet consortium of libraries, a change that will expand the Novanet partnership beyond Nova Scotia into New Brunswick. Novanet is a consortium of academic libraries that share resources and expertise. The new MtA Novanet Library Catalogue will enable Mount Allison students, faculty and other patrons to search and get access to books and other materials available in the Mount Allison Libraries collections and beyond, through other Novanet libraries.

All of these changes are designed to facilitate and expand access to information and resources for all members of the Mount Allison community.

Please stay tuned for more information and updates as this project moves ahead.
