Marie Hammond Callaghan is an assistant professor in the women’s studies program and the History department at Mount Allison University, Sackville, NB. Her main research interests lie in women’s peace movement history in 20th century Canada and Europe, as well as gender scholarship on militarism. To date she has published several scholarly articles on women’s peace activism in the North of Ireland and Canada during the 1970s. She is co-editor of Mobilizations, Protests and Engagements: Canadian Perspectives on Social Movements (Halifax: Fernwood Press, 2008).

After graduation, Angela worked in the Mount Allison University Archives researching the sporting history of Mount Allison, which will be used in an online virtual exhibit in 2008. Currently, Angela is working at the Boultenhouse Heritage Centre in Sackville, NB doing research on Sackville and the Tantramar Region.
