Welcome to the Alfred Whitehead Music Library!

Music Library Hours

Fall Hours (September 27 – 29)

Monday–Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed from 4-5 pm on Wednesdays for Collegium)

Modified Hours 
September 27: 11:30 am to 1:00 pm CLOSED

September 29: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm CLOSED
Visit the Research Help Desk in the R. P. Bell Library for research help during closures

Requests for music library materials outside of open hours can be made using the library catalogue.

Monday - Thursday: 8:10 am - 11:00 pm
Friday: 8:10 am - 9:00 pm 
Saturday: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm  
Sunday: 1:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Research Help

Librarians provide reference and research assistance and are available to help you find the information and resources that you need.

There are several ways to reach us: 

Research Help Desk (Fall Term Hours):

Monday and Thursday: 11 am - 3 pm + virtual research help 3 pm - 5 pm

Tuesday and Wednesday: 11 am - 3 pm + virtual research help 3 pm - 5 pm and  7 pm - 9 pm

Friday: 12 pm - 4 pm

Sunday afternoon virtual reference service will begin later in September.

The Flying Bean Café

The Flying Bean, located on the main floor of the R.P. Bell Library, is open for the Fall Term.

The Bean is run by Mount Allison's Dining Services.


University Archives Hours

Open By Appointment

The Mount Allison University Archives are open by appointment only.

To make an appointment, either e-mail archives @ or telephone the Archives (506-364-2563) and leave a voice message. Staff will then contact you to arrange for an appointment.
