Reference & Research Help

Librarians can help you get started with your research, find the information you need, and teach you how to use information resources available in the library and online.

Librarians are available to assist you at the Research Help Desk of the R.P. Bell Library and at the Music Library.

There are many ways for you to reach us!

  • Make an appointment with a Subject Librarian for in-depth research assistance
  • E-mail your question to infodesk @ mta.ca
  • Chat with a librarian online (fall & winter terms only)
  • Call us: 506-364-2564 (Main Library) | 506-364-2214 (Music Library)

Research Help hours are posted on the Library Hours page.

Honours Students

Honours students are encouraged to meet with a librarian individually to discuss their research.  If possible, please make an appointment with a librarian at least one week prior to the desired meeting time.

Got a Question? Ask a Librarian!

Chat Reference is offline for the Spring and Summer and will return at the start of the Fall term.

Please see the Ask a Librarian page for all of the other ways you can reach us.
